Study Skills that Really Work

This is an internationally tested programme based on the chain memory system.

It takes 2 days to deliver. When properly learned and applied it guarantees 80% retention after 9 months. Taught in an interactive and fun way it is a tool for school, college and life.

Debating Skills

This one day workshop teaches junior cycle the basics of debating.

How to construct and adapt a speech. Giving points of information effectively, rebuttal, playing your part on the team and much more. Facilitated by a university champion debater.

Cairde Leadership Training

This programme is specially designed to train fifth year students for leadership and prefect roles.

It helps them to build skills to establish a group dynamic, take responsibility and leadership.

Ideally this programme should run at the end of a school year, where tasks, such as supporting first years, can be set and measured. It is important to have an adult co-ordinator, who supports the students and acts as liaison with school management.

Anti-Bullying Programme

This half-day workshop based programme is aimed at 2nd year students.

It works through real issues, encouraging students to identify ways of overcoming fears and dealing with themselves, others and the bully.

It is also a good day for new students to be together outside of the classroom.

Drug / Alcohol Awareness

This programme is aimed at Junior Cycle Students who are most affected by peer pressure.

It builds a strong awareness of the effects of alcohol and substance abuse. A daylong programme, with two facilitated sessions, students get ample time to explore their own attitudes and to form values on this emotive topic.
