Support, Reporting and Evaluation

When the trainees arrive they are given an emergency number which is always manned by a staff member.

They are also given a map of Dublin and their local area, together with details of the other students that are staying in host families close to them. Usually they are also given their travel pass at this time.

On the first day they are taken into Dublin by public transport with their language teacher and shown the major sights of Dublin. This allows them to familiarise themselves with Dublin City and their local area.

During the Programme

There is always a staff member available to them.
During their language course, which is their first week, they meet with an Agency staff member every day.
For their work placement they are given a map and transport details on how to get there.
They are also encouraged to visit their supervisor and their work environment before they start work.
During the placement we make random phone calls to work placements just to ensure all is well.
We visit the placement and meet with the trainee and supervisor to complete the final evaluation.
Throughout their stay trainees meet with us regularly and must complete a series of evaluation forms that highlight potential difficulties to us before they arise.
Trainees are also evaluated by their Host Family, their language tutor and their supervisor.
After the programme we complete a final report for the sender based on everyone’s experiences.
