Objective
To train and assess participants in Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual, & Guidance for the Control and Management of Traffic at Roadworks.  Background

When working in a public environment it is essential that the public and other workers are protected from the hazards associated with big machinery moving or operating near them.
This course instructs all operators in the approrpriate use of signing, lighting and guarding for working on roads, shopping centres and other environments where there is public access.
Safety training is essential to avoid accidents for everybody - the public or other employees - in and around any site.  Course Content

|  | Traffic Management Devices
|  | Signs
|  | Delineation Devices |
Practical: At the end of the course, all participants will be trained to:  | List the relevant legislation
|  | Describe signs and devices used on roadworks
|  | Describe static and semi-static operations
|  | List the requirements for the installation of traffic management
|  | Read and describe the traffic layouts as set out
|  | Install, maintain & remove signs & devices used on roadworks
|  | Create and maintain site records
|  | Have been assessed in a live road practical |
Participants must bring the following on the day of training:
1. Passport Photo
2. Current Safe Pass
3. Personal Protective Equipment
Participants must be aged 18 years or over
