CPC Driver Training from Alaymont


Alaymont is pleased to be approved by the Road Safety Authority to deliver the new CPC Modules for Bus & Truck Drivers.
Here is everything you need to know about this new mandatory Driver Training!
ALL truck and bus drivers will have to do one day a year of Driver CPC in the classroom, doing one module per year for 5 years, and then starting again.
The 5 modules are;
1. Control of vehicle and eco driving techniques
2. Minimising Risks and Managing Emergencies
3. Health and Safety of the Professional Driver
4. Role of the Professional Driver in the Transport Industry (tachograph etc)
5. The Professional Truck Driver
6. The Professional Bus Driver
We realise Drivers may consider CPC training an expense and a day out of work, but there ARE benefits for the individual AND the industry;

ALAYMONT (RSA, FETAC & FAS accredited) - HAVE DATES SCHEDULED IN JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2010
• This new mandatory training is from an EU directive and is being implemented by the Road Safety Authority. Alaymont will be charging €75 per candidate (per module)
• Our Trainers have a background in Driving professionally and in Health & Safety training
• We are currently delivering Driver CPC in our training centre in Dun Laoghaire; please ask about our Wicklow and Midlands options.

Note 1 : All bus/coach and truck drivers must do modules 1-4. Bus/coach drivers also need Module 6 and Truck drivers also need module 5. Drivers who are both bus/coach drivers AND truck drivers must do all 6 modules in the 5 years, but only need do modules 1-4 once, in that 5 year period.
Note 2 : The truck training must be done by anyone with a C License (for trucks over 3500 kg gross vehicle weight) and the bus training by anyone with a D License (for buses or minibuses with more than 8 passenger seats)
