Articulated Dumper

Objective
To instruct and give practical training in safe use of loading and unloading with an articulated dumper, in keepin with legislation.
 Background

The ADT can best be described as a motorized wheelbarrow, although it is much better than a wheelbarrow. It has the ability to haul some pretty good sized loads and it is very handy around almost any construction jobsite.
In fact, they may show up on a highway or street project, at airports where construction never stops and at large and small housing developments. andscaping contractors and town councils often use them. They carry sod turf, gravel, cement, trash, sandbags and marker cones.
Training is essential because Articulated Dumpers are used in so many different sites and locations.  Course Content:

Theory  | Duties of operator
|  | Pre-shift Inspection
|  | Hazards associated when working with an Articulated Dumper
|  | Different terrains and associated hazards |
Practical  | Inspection of machine before use
|  | Functions of different controls
|  | Safe loading and transporting of items
|  | Loading and unloading different
|  | Hill starts
|  | Recognition and use of approved hand signals |
On the 3rd day of the course participants are given a log book. After 6 months further experience under the supervision of a CSCS ticket holder of the same category, they must pass a 1 day assessment to achieve CSCS card and FETAC Certification
Participants must bring the following on the day of training:
1. Passport Photo
2. Current Safe Pass is Advisable
3. Personal Protective Equipment
4. Evidence or Proof of experience (Over six months) i.e. Letter from employer
Participants must be aged 18 years or over.
